Lowri graduated from Bristol Veterinary School in 1992. Her early career was spent in equine practice where she developed her interest in sports medicine and rehabilitation. She is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation and founder and director of the SMART Veterinary Clinics that have a Europe wide client base. She is currently president of the British Veterinary Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine association and has lectured internationally on rehabilitation and sports medicine. She has also contributed widely to numerous publications on rehabilitation and pain management including the recently published Pain Management in Veterinary Species. A fondness for trail running, horse riding and mountain biking coupled with natural clumsiness means that she has plenty to first hand experience regarding the importance of physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
