Nell Ostermeier graduated from the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 and completed the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) certification course in veterinary acupuncture in 2010. For over 10 years, Nell founded and operated a small animal and exotic companion animal practice with her husband in Portland, Oregon, USA. After completing her certification, she immediately began integrating acupuncture and other holistic options into the practice. In 2013, Nell returned to the IVAS course as a teaching assistant and has grown her role as an instructor and the course coordinator. Her passion for teaching has led her to current career path which is focused on providing online and in-person education for integrative veterinarians who wish to use acupuncture more frequently to help their patients. She hosts the private veterinarian only Facebook group "Every Day Acupuncture for Veterinarians" and is the creator of the online Masterclass programs "Veterinary Acupuncture Mastermind" and "Advanced Veterinary Acupuncture Mastermind." She still maintains a part time, mobile veterinary practice providing acupuncture and holistic care.
